Marketers face great problems, whenever they decide to start a campaign. The same is the case with email marketing, in order to minimize these risks there are a couple of things you can do before starting your email marketing campaign.
Keep it Simple
Simplicity is the gateway to elegance. You don’t want to get your email flagged as spam, just because you were too flashy with the graphics on your emails. Make them to the point, short yet appealing with better less sophisticated designs.
Less pictures
Don’t use too many emails, this will help in keeping the email light and easier to open. Don’t use generic pictures, rather of your own services and products. People are more inclined in spending on what they believe to be true rather than false images were taken off from somewhere else.
Add Relevant Links
The best way to sell is to make it accessible, provide links of whatever you have to offer. More specifically provide the direct links to products that the targeted clients are more in tuned towards.
Attach a Txt backup
Most people check their emails on their phones, with limited data. Hence emails are viewed in text-only format if you are sending out HTML emails remember to attach a text only file as a backup. Containing all the information that is on the HTML one.
This is mostly a security precaution, in case people don’t open the HTML version they can still get to see what you have to offer, and your emailing efforts are not lost.
Update email list
Keep your mailing list up to date. You don’t want to keep sending emails to people that are not interested and that will reduce your clicks turnover ratio.
Manage and gather your entire list frequently, sort out all of those that are now irrelevant and have no interest in the product line or your offerings.
Test Mail
Before you broadcast the emails out to the world. Remember to conduct mailing tests to ensure that the targeted audience will get exactly what you wanted, rather than it has errors.
